I am a dance artist, choreographer, equestrian, author, movement educator and therapist. My background includes deep research into theater, somatics, improvisation, film, Deep Listening, Laban Movement Analysis, Body-Mind CenteringⒸ, interspecies relationships, equine studies, Authentic Movement, embodied psychology, and eco-performance. Much of my solo work arises from her own experience of being gender non-conforming, and movement explorations of the deeply complex architecture of identity and expression.
I am is a Certified Laban Movement Analyst and a Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist (RSMET) accredited by the ISMETA, the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association. I am is also a Guild-Certified TTEAM (Tellington Touch Equine Awareness Method) practitioner and a Somatic Experiencing ® practitioner. My writings on movement and dance have been published in Contact Quarterly. My book, Our Horses, Ourselves: Discovering the Common Body, was published by Trafalgar Square Books. I have developed and teach Embodied Horsemanship, a movement and touch-based approach to working with horses. For the past 2 years I have been studying somatic practices with Kathy Kain.
I work with adults both in-person and online, including SE-based therapeutic work with horses when appropriate.
I am an approved SE personal session provider at all levels.
